I put together this quilt top last week sometime. My goal when I started this was to use up some scraps. I used some, but not nearly enough. I plan to make the back scrappy, too, but also very irregular. I haven’t decided yet whether to add borders or, if I do, what kind to add. So I’m soliciting your opinions. Does this need a border? Several borders? Solid borders? Pieced borders? A combination? Please leave me a comment!
If you have opinions on a quilting design/motif, please leave those, too. I was wondering about using a Baptist fan design, but am not sure how that would work. The blocks are 8″.

Your quilt top is really beautiful. The colours you’ve used are so gorgeous, they work so well together. I like it as it is, so if it were mine I’d make a really simple border, maybe a wide band made of pieces of the same colour in different shades. But then, i think on the basis of this quilt you should trust your own instincts; you obviously know what you’re doing!
