I made this Monday. It was a hit with everyone here who eats solid food. That’s most unusual.

1 lb burger
2 Tbsp butter
1 med onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 – 2 cups chopped cabbage
1 can diced tomatoes
2 small cans tomato sauce
a bunch of water
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp dry basil
salt and pepper

Brown burger. Put browned burger in crock pot. Melt butter in pan. Saute onion and garlic in butter. Add onion and garlic to crock pot. Add other ingredients except water to crock pot. Add enough water to make it soupy. Cook low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.

I used venison burger because that’s what I had. Beef would work as well and may be more to your taste. Shredded chicken ought to work, too. It would also be good to substitute beef stock (or chicken stock if you use chicken) for some of the water.
